One of Europe’s largest leading fastener manufacturers is reaching for the stars with an unfathomable expansion. The Hamburg based business REYHER had made a name for itself by supplying Europe with 130,000 different fastener options, but discovered it was quickly running out of room in June of 2017. Since they couldn’t move outward, they took a page from New York City’s book and looked to the sky.

Untold New Heights…
A decision was made to force their warehouse upwards to a staggering 42 meters high — nearly 140 feet. The 110 meter (just over 360 feet) long double-bay building covers eight entire floors, and has the capacity to hold 100,000 pallets and 120,000 bins. The fully automated warehouse exports nearly 300 tons of supplies every day.
…and Their Drawbacks
However, even large companies have their limitations. While they do make custom screws provided customers can offer exact blueprints and specifications, they do not supply micro screws. If your business or industry works on a nano scale, you’re going to need a consistent supplier to buy micro screws from. With over 200 billion fasteners being used each year in the U.S., and with technology getting smaller and smaller as time goes on (you know how tricky it can be to find a micro screw for your smartwatch or laptop), the demand for custom screws that can suit those micro needs is higher than ever.
Micro fasteners are an industry in and of their own right. If your business focuses on technology or manufacturing that employs the use of M0.6 size screws, or needs larger screws with 0.2mm ultra thin heads, finding a reliable place to buy micro screws could make or break your business. Don’t waste time searching big screw companies for you exact, minuscule specifications — discover a micro screw manufacturer that is fundamentally equipped to handle your every project.
Just because a company has a ridiculously massive warehouse does not mean they can meet all of your needs as a consumer. If you’re looking to find micro screws, make sure you find a business that makes that product their specialty.
