Sometimes the “one size fits all” model simply doesn’t work. Product development engineers, among others, often need custom screws or micro fasteners to help design a piece they’ve envisioned. Custom screws or micro fasteners allow smaller electronic devices, glasses repair, and even small craft items like toy planes or cars to be built by hobbyists. There’s a variety of miniature screws available to work with and each screw point type is designed for a specific need. If you need a custom-sized screw, we can help provide that custom screw or fastener that you’ve been looking for to complete your design or product. We offer our products at competitive rates and help you keep your product above average with our custom made small craft screws, fasteners, and shoulder bolts.

What Can We Offer You in Terms of Micro Fasteners?
Let us open up a whole new world to you, as the leading supplier of custom fasteners, screws, and shoulder bolts. We offer everything from micro machine screws to thread cutting and thread forming screws. We work with large companies but also provide products for smaller projects.
We’re staffed by a worldwide network of technical expert professionals who can help you find the right fastener for your product and offer you satisfactory customer service.
We offer ultra thin heads down to 0.2mm, all kinds of thread options, a huge variety of thread sizes, a low minimum order size, discounts on large orders, specialized materials (such as aluminum or stainless steel), and custom screws, like SEMs and threadlocks. Whether you need an SEM screw for a fast, permanent, and flexible option or a screw specifically designed for a certain material, we have it all.
What Different Kinds of Screw Types Are There?
There are three main types of screw point types. These are the industrial tapping screws, and then the thread cutting machine screw and thread forming machine screws, which are both types of tapping screws.
An industrial tapping screw actually taps its own hole (hence the name) as it goes into the material. For harder materials like metal, the tapping is done by creating a gap in the thread continuity of the screw, which makes a cutting edge of its own, instead of relying on a tap. For softer materials, a sharp tip will suffice. The common types of tapping screws are A, AB, and B, which is largely dependent on the thickness of the material being screwed.
With the thread-forming screw, it creates a thread by moving material around the pilot hole to flow through the thread. Since no material is being discarded, there’s a tight fit and they are great if you need a screw that will not easily loosen.
The thread-cutting screw, however, has sharp edges and places that create another thread by getting rid of the material as they’re inserted. They don’t require more torque and are not as intrusive to the material as thread-forming screws. Thread-tapping screws have cutting edges and chip cavities that create a mating thread by removing material from the part they are driven into.
Within these three main categories, of course, there are also specific screw types, depending on the material being used and other needs.
